Birthplace of the Chinese Tea Tea, China produces 18% of the world’s tea. Two favorites are: Oolong Tea – It is said that Oolong tea was produced in Mt. Wu Yi Shan in Fujian province at the end of the Ming Dynasty some 400 years ago. Green tea – a tea is made only in the leaves of Camellia sinensis that has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates from China and has been associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan in the Middle East. There are many other varieties from India and China and other countries, green tea, white tea and herbs belong to. Oolong Tea Oolong tea is traditionally cooked in a hot wok, and fired very quickly.
